Luann Nemitz’s role at Cornerstone Architects is varied. She is primarily involved with most aspects of interior architecture, finish selection, and furniture specification. She also provides support in several areas of architectural project development, historic tax credit applications, and LEED certification of projects. Luann has been with Cornerstone Architects since 1998. Prior to that she spent 14 years working at two other notable Architectural firms in Grand Rapids.

Luann graduated from Lawrence Technological University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. A few years later she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. She is a registered Architect in the State of Michigan and a LEED accredited professional for Interior Design and Construction.

Luann enjoys participating in the transformation of a building or interior space from “paper” to reality. She feels it is particularly rewarding to learn new techniques, be informed of new, relevant products or details that can be applied to projects in order to ultimately exceed the client’s expectations.

When she is not at work, Luann likes to keep fit rowing, hiking with her family, and dancing Irish Set and Ceilidh with friends. She is an avid gardener in a continuous battle with the critters that enjoy eating her gardens! With three grown children, she focuses a fair amount of time spoiling her two young grandchildren.
