It’s Earth Day on April 22!

Happy Earth Day on April 22!

Did you know that we have LEED accredited architects on staff?   These professionals can provide the road map for obtaining LEED certification on your buildings.

While not every staff member is LEED accredited, our firm practices sustainable architecture in all of our projects, incorporating strategies such as natural daylighting, energy efficient HVAC systems, sustainable building product specification, and even solar and wind power.

Cornerstone Architects can offer design implementation of complex systems and materials, but we also know the true benefit of implementing “common sense” sustainability with the systems we select, the materials we specify, and a simple respect for the immediate and global environment. The “greenest” of built environments may be existing structures and we have the experience to understand the feasibility of reuse as compared to new construction.

With over 100 renovated structures in our portfolio, we are believers. We are also realists, and understand why, in many cases, new construction may be the best option.

In either case, sustainability should be a prerequisite, not an option.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

Jane Goodall
