Project Description.

The West Hall Library and Innovation Center, located on the main campus of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan provides for several flexible student “maker” spaces, a media center/library, food service, classrooms, study enclaves, health science space and other accessory uses. The new construction was designed to encourage creativity while incorporating natural light, natural materials, interesting internal spaces and connective exterior spaces while maintaining a sustainable design.

The 66,300 sf facility is centrally positioned on campus to serve as a “hub” for adjacent student housing, and the Health and Science Building in an effort to promote and grow the nursing program, as well as soft skills learning.
