Anna is a Project Architect with Cornerstone and joined the team in 2017. A passion for both art and science brought her to architecture which she finds to be an exciting and engaging mix of both. She enjoys the daily variety and challenges of working with clients to bring their vision to life. Anna is engaged with a project from start to finish; from listening to client and stakeholder needs in early meetings, then working with the client to distill their vision and present design options, to working on construction documents and construction problem solving.
Anna is a registered architect in Michigan and Washington and is NCARB certified. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Michigan, a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University, and a Master of Architecture and Graduate Certificate in Ecological Design from University of Oregon. She is passionate about historic preservation and sustainability, where they intersect and how relevant concepts can be incorporated into every project. She is LEED AP BD+C accredited and led the certification of multiple projects in her previous work on the west coast.
Outside of the office, Anna can be found hanging out with her cat or enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys gardening, kayaking, sailing and hiking in the summer, skiing or snowshoeing in the winter, and generally being crafty all year round. When inside, she can be found baking and cooking new recipes or at an antique shop searching for mid-century pottery and furniture.
